The joy of Chocolate Orange Coffee

At Blackbeard Coffee we want to offer coffee for everyone with all sorts of different tastes, whether that’s for the die-hard coffee connoisseurs or coffees that offer something with that fun element. The idea for our chocolate orange coffee came about whilst surfing social media channels to see how different people experiment with completely different things, from dances to sports to singing and obviously of real interest was how people experiment with their coffee! 

Bizarrely, something that constantly popped up on our feeds was that people seemed to really enjoy orange juice combined with coffee…I know what you are thinking, and we thought the same –  “Could that really work?” and then “Could this be the craze that everybody needs to try?” 

Well we did try it and funnily enough it really was as good as all the hype!  That said, when you think about it, it makes perfect sense, after all chocolate and orange is an age old combo – think back to Terry’s chocolate orange eggs always a popular choice (especially at Christmas), so given that coffee and chocolate have similar taste profiles, coffee and orange should, in theory, work too!

As it happens, the coffee taste alongside the orange sweetness balances each other making it a brilliant combination. So at Blackbeard we got to thinking – how could we create an easy to use, reliable blend for our community that was completely different but had similar notes and taste to that of the orange and coffee? With the festive season just around the corner, (and it’s that time of year when gorging on chocolate is fine at Christmas…. right…..) we thought it made perfect sense and a great time to launch our chocolate orange coffee.

Our aim is to bring our community something really different this Christmas whether it’s for you to enjoy or to find something really different to give to your friends and family that they’ll have never had before.  The best part is we’ve made it simple so you don’t have to – we’ve figured out the right calibration (that’s our job), and finely tuned it to give you a great tasting coffee.
